Satchmo
A chronicle of the musical career of Louis ("Satchmo") Armstrong, using clips of the jazz trumpeter/singer's performances as well as interviews with him and fellow musicians. During this program, the following aspects of Armstrong's life are explored: his formative years in New Orleans; his world tour from 1955 to 1956; how he spends his free nights while on tour; and his visit to the Gold Coast of Africa.

Peter Ustinov and Peter Jones play themselves as two characters in a London car journey failing to find a location known as Copthorne Avenue. Ustinov and Jones also portrayed various characters they meet on the journey, from which much of the show's comedy was derived.
