Overview

Almost Funny: Season 3 is a comedy anthology filmed in VRChat, hosted by BardicRJ, with musical performances by WHSPRS. Each entry is a standalone short film spanning absurdist fiction, dark satire, and genre parody - connected by musical interludes and an ongoing narrative thread. The season follows a misdelivered package that draws in a hitman, a mobster who can't get anyone to disrespect him correctly, a magic academy thrown into chaos by a new student, and a direct-to-video psychic rivalry stretched across multiple sequels. A noir detective works nights and narrates over a deal gone wrong, while a volatile detective's interrogation methods prove difficult to justify. Running between the one-offs is "The Plot" - a recurring storyline that builds across the season toward questions of memory, identity, and whether its characters are who they believe themselves to be.
